We'd had bad bad results with them with our application, but based on Tommy and a few other responses been playing with them. The only downside is using an app to initially configure or after a factory reset. So: We won't be factory resetting in the field. No big deal. The magic settings came down to two critical settings, using H.264 instead of H.265, setting to a fixed, instead of variable frame rate, and setting that to anything less than 30FPS. 6 to 10 FPS works well for our needs. Good settings for a hosted RTSP relay/recoder over a VPN when some of the sites have minimal bandwidth. Been testing for a few months. Here is where I got blown away: Dealing with Reolink. They have a partner program with a significant price drop for large orders, and the emails to and from the sales/support team about a few questions were excellent and timely. Just ordered a bunch of PCT8M camera's. Since our last discussion, I purchased one of their newer cameras and was a little disappointed to discover that initial configuration now requires the app. Older Reolink cameras were listening on 80/443 by default, so you could just pull a DHCP lease and configure everything from a browser. I'm using pretty much the same settings you outlined, with the addition of setting the iframe interval to 1=C3=97. Reading your message also made me realize I should probably revisit my frame rates. I've had it set to 20+ on everything and could probably get away with less. Reolink praise aside, I have noticed occasional issues with my NVR recordings on some models (particularly the Duo 2). I record through Frigate NVR and locally to the camera's SD card as a backup. The SD recordings are always flawless, which makes me think the issue is more likely related to my Frigate configuration or network/storage rather than the camera itself. Keep me posted on how the deployment goes. I'm curious how they hold up at scale. Tommy P d
